Sitaram Kattel and Kunjana Ghimire appeal support for Namuna Nepal

This past June, the acting duo of Sitaram Kattel and Kunjana Ghimire, widely hailed for their philanthropic work, announced their fourth project, Namuna Nepal. Under this new project, the acting duo plan to establish a settlement which will house select communities from all three geographical regions of Nepal—an effort to connect philanthropy with the arts, as the duo call it.
This past week, the duo travelled to Kailali to raise awareness about and seek support for the project. The project, the fourth under the Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation, is massive in scale, where the settlement, if the plan pans out, will be established in around 1,000 Ropani land, “bringing all cultures and tradition from all regions in one single community, which will be a prototype of an inclusive Naya Nepal.”
Speaking about his previous visits to Kailali, Kattel said, “We have visited Kailali many times before as actors during various festivals and asked for your love. But this time, we are not here to ask for ourselves but for the country. We are here to request you to be a part of Namuna Nepal project.” He added, “The Namuna Nepal project will resemble the cultures and traditions of whole Nepal which will help promote tourism of the country. So, we want everyone to be a part of this initiative.” He asked for the contribution of Rs 200 from everyone around the country to make the project successful.
The project which is currently undergoing an extensive environmental examination report is supported by Dhangadi Chambers of Commerce and Rotary Club of Dhangadi
